Ziyarat in Makkah & Madinah

  • Masjid Al Haram

Millions of pilgrims visit the Great Mosque of Mecca, constructed to house the sacred Kaaba, during the Hajj & Umrah pilgrimage seasons, making it one of the most popular religious sites. Nearly the entire city of Mecca from the time of Prophet Muhammad is now included in the Masjid Al-Haram, including several ziyarat locations. The mosque accommodates the Kaaba, Maqam-e-Ibrahim, Safa & Marwah, the Kiswa, and Hajr-e-Aswad.
  • Jabal ar-Rahmah

It is the location on the plains of Arafat where Prophet Adam and Amma Hawwa were reunited with Allah after confessing their transgressions and receiving the pardon. Pilgrims consider the Mount of Mercy as an important location when organising their Ziyarat tour of the city. One of the religious obligations mandated by the almighty Allah is to spend a certain amount of time in the Arafat plains during the Hajj.
  • Masjid Al Nabawi

Constructed initially by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) following his move to Madinah from Mecca. Initially built as a modest mosque with palm ferns and mud bricks, it has seen significant expansions throughout time. Masjid Al Nabawi is one of the most sought-after sites for ziyarat as it is the ultimate resting place of the Prophet and his two most devoted companions, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab.
  • Mount Abu Qubais

It is one of the most prominent Ziyarat sites, yet many are unaware of its religious and historical significance. Islamic literature recounts that Prophet Ibrahim preached Islam to his city's citizens from the summit of this mountain. Additionally, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stood there and implored Allah Almighty to perform the miracle of splitting the moon in half. Presently, due to ongoing expansion projects, only remnants of the mountain remain.
  • Jabal Al Nour

Located roughly 2 miles from the Ka’bah, Jabal Al Nour also popularly known as the "Hill of Illumination" is revered as a sacred place in Islam due to the "Cave of Hira" being located atop this mountain. It is one of the most popular ziyarat sites despite the challenging trek to the summit. It is an important religious location since the holy Qur'an states that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first of many revelations of the Quran in the Cave of Hira.
  • Cave of Thawr

Due to its religious significance, pilgrims on the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage always make time to visit the Cave of Thawr. While migrating from Mecca to Madinah after being targeted and chased by the Quraysh tribe, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) along with his companions took refuge in this cave. Millions of Muslim devotees from around the planet visit this cave every year as this site holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims.
  • Masjid e Aisha

Masjid-e-Taneem, the second-largest mosque in Mecca, is a popular pilgrimage site, especially during Hajj and Umrah. It serves as a Miqat point for Mecca residents, where pilgrims must assume the state of Ihram to perform Umrah. This mosque is integral to the pilgrimage experience.
  • Jannat al Mualla

During his stay in Mecca, the Prophet made many visits to this grave. Located not too far away from Masjid Al Nabawi, it is significant to Islamic history since the Prophet Muhammad is buried in Jannatul Mualla beside his grandfather, several sahabahs, and other family members.
